On Saturday 21st March, the care team and residents at Friends Place, our new state-of-the-art residential care home in Reading, are excited to be hosting a free Open Day to give potential residents and their families, respite guests, neighbours, members of the local community, health service and medical professionals, the opportunity to see and experience, how the care team focus on giving those they care for the support they need to live fulfilled lives every minute of every day.
“Friends Place is more than just a care home,” said Alina Gutu, the General Manager at the care home. “It’s a place where the residents belong and are cared for within – and are part of – a caring and loving community where everybody is treated with dignity, appreciation and respect.”
“Guests at our Open Day will see, first hand, our great care team in action, take guided tours of our fantastic home and all it’s amazing facilities, interact with the residents whilst enjoying delicious free refreshments and plenty of entertainment,” added Elisha Hall-Jones, the Activities Coordinator at Friends Place. “There will also be a Children’s Activities Corner to keep our little guests entertained as well.”
Friends Place offers residential and dementia care, respite breaks and a day care service, all within a warm and welcoming environment where the residents, respite guests and day care clients are valued, supported and secure.
“The guided tours of Friends Place will give guests the chance to see all the amazing facilities,” continued Alina. “They will take in our contemporary and high-tech Cinema Room and Bar, the bright and airy Tea Room and lovely Garden Room, the modern Beauty Salon, as well as our beautifully designed, spacious bedrooms, snug reading areas, stylish lounges and dining areas, sunny communal areas and the lovely, landscaped gardens and grounds – and, of course, the care team and I will also be on hand to answer any questions or queries our guests may have.
