Little Bramingham Farm Care Home’s Fa-la-la-la-fabulous Community Christmas Grotto is Full of Yuletide ‘Chemis-Tree’

The care team and residents at the award winning Little Bramingham Farm, our Luton-based residential care home, have had a magical time welcoming over 150 visitors from the local community to their ‘Santa-tastic’ Christmas Grotto. For three days, Santa who was accompanied by Mrs Claus and his mischievous Elves took up residence at Little Bramingham Farm in his very own North Pole Workshop, complete with twinkling Fairy Lights, Nutcracker Soldiers, Christmas Stockings and, of course, a ‘Be-yule-tiful’ Christmas Tree. “Santa was not the only Festive Fella who took part in the ‘Ho-Ho-Ho-Happy’ Workshop,” said Emma Lawrance, the Registered Manager at Little Bramingham Farm. “The Grinch made the long and frosty journey to the care home, all the way from his cave on the top of Mount Crumpit in Whoville. He was quite tricksy and naughty as he kept trying to steal Santa’s gifts for the visiting children, but each time he tried, he was caught green handed by crowds who were seeing Santa.”

Little Bramingham Farm’s annual Community Christmas Spectacular, is one of the residents’ favourite and most anticipated events on the care home’s wide and varied activities calendar. “All the residents thoroughly enjoy getting into the Christmas Spirit,” added Karen Charity, Little Bramingham Farm’s Activities Coordinator. “They love to help with setting up Santa’s Workshop and Grotto and taking part in all our ‘Fir-tastic’ festive activities in the run up to Christmas Day. They particularly enjoyed joining in with the children making magical food for Santa’s Reindeer to enjoy before their worldwide trip on Christmas Eve and decorating Christmas Biscuits.”

“Visitors to Little Bramingham Farm’s Winter Wonderland also enjoyed festive treats at Susie’s Tea Room, which is located in the care home’s Christmas gardens. The children and residents were especially fond of the yummy Chocolate Brownies and tasty Marshmallow Floating Hot Chocolate,” continued Emma. Little Bramingham Farm Care Home’s Community Christmas Extravaganza also had a mini Christmas Fayre with local craft stalls selling a range of gifts including unique candles and pretty themed Christmas pens.

“We hope everyone who came along to our Community Christmas Santa’s Grotto had a wonderful, magical time. It really was an enchanted way to start the countdown to Christmas Day – and, even though he tried, The Grinch definitely didn’t steal Christmas from everyone at Little Bramingham Farm, he just added to the joy, laughter and merriment,” concluded Emma.
