Residents and the Care Team at Little Bramingham Farm, our Luton-based residential care home, are celebrating after being announced as Care Home of the Year 2025 at the National Care Awards. The National Care Awards, established in 1998 by Caring Times, celebrate excellence across the care sector. The Care Home of the Year award recognises a home with 15 or more residents that can demonstrate exceptional quality across all aspects of its care. Little Bramingham Farm saw off strong competition from eight other finalists to secure the top award. The win is a testament to the home’s commitment and dedication to the older people it supports and comes as the charity marks its 120th anniversary year. “Being awarded The National Care Award’s Care Home of the Year 2025, especially among such strong finalists, was an amazing feeling. I am so proud of my team and everything they give each day. Most of all, this recognition means a great deal because our residents and their families are at the centre of everything we do.” said Emma Lawrance, the Registered Manager at Little Bramingham Farm.
Back in the 1930s and 1940s, Little Bramingham Farm was a working farm and originally part of the hamlet of Bramingham. Now, the 26 bedroomed CQC rated Outstanding care home is housed in the historic Grade II listed farmhouse with a modern extension. It is set in relaxing and attractive grounds and is also home to Susie’s Tea Room which is an oasis of tranquillity with a warm and friendly atmosphere.
“Everyone at Little Bramingham Farm gives their all, every day, to ensure each resident is engaged, motivated, safe, happy and supported with the dignity and respect they deserve,” said Rachel Hill, Chief Executive of Friends of the Elderly. “We are immensely proud that Little Bramingham Farm has been recognised with this prestigious award. It is a genuine reflection of the team’s dedication, kindness, professionalism and compassion, both towards the residents and one another, every single day.” added Rachel.
