2024 June highlights from our care homes and services

Across our care homes and services, residents had a wonderful time enjoying a mixture of fun activities and celebrations last month. Here are our 2024 June highlights:

D-Day honoured as Malvern residents and clients transport to 1944

The care team at Malvern-based Davenham, Perrins House and Bradbury Court care home and Malvern Day Care transported residents and clients back to June 1944 to honour D-Day’s 80th Anniversary.

Grants programme offers lifeline to older people in need

With around one in five pensioners struggling with the burden of financial hardship and loneliness, it is no wonder that our charitable grants programme is inundated with pleas for support.

The Charity helped 72-year-old Grace* who in recent years has developed several health problems including lung disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and chronic back pain, which have left her increasingly fragile. Grace’s lack of mobility had made life increasingly tough.

Neigh way! Redcot residents welcome host of animals

At Redcot, our Haslemere-based care home, residents delighted in welcoming a host of adorable animals to the home, including a puppy, a herd of sheep, and even a Shetland pony.

At The Old Vicarage, our Wallingford-based residential and dementia care home, it’s eyes down for a ‘Full House’ for residents as they celebrated this year’s National Bingo Day.

On the 18th June, Little Bramingham Farm, our Luton-based residential care home, invited residents, their families and the community to celebrate the first birthday of the care home’s beautiful ‘Susie’s Tea Room’.
