Across our care homes and services, residents had a wonderful time enjoying a mixture of fun activities and celebrations last month. Here are our 2023 October highlights:
Honouring International Day of Older Persons at Friends of the Elderly
Each year on 1st October, we mark and honour the United Nations International Day of Older Persons (IDOP). In line with this year’s IDOP theme, our care home residents and day care clients have been celebrating aging and passing on their words of wisdom to the younger generation.

Our Charitable Services Update 2022-23
“During 2022-2023 the number of older people applying for our grants increased by 10%. In some cases we were, quite literally, their last hope.”
