At New Copford Place residential care home in Colchester, Essex, our care team has been celebrating resident, Wendy Binns’ milestone 100th Birthday with a day full of surprises and all her favourite things.

Winnie The Pooch becomes a regular visitor in Luton
Little Bramingham Farm care home has a new furry, four-legged friend who regularly visits the residents for mornings of fun, games and cuddles.
Winnie – affectionately called ‘Winnie The Pooch’ – a Blue Roan coated Cockapoo, is a qualified Therapy Dog.

Dietitians’ tips on Nutrition for Older people
Steve Allen, Chief Executive of Friends of the Elderly, writes a regular blog which gives insight into his role at the Charity.
This month he welcomed dietitians Vittoria Romano (chair of British Dietetic Association (BDA) Older People Specialist Group (OPSG)) and Alison Smith (committee member of the BDA OPSG), who wrote an informative guest blog for the Charity about nutrition and hydration for older people.

Alpacas delight in Oxfordshire
Residents at The Old Vicarage care home were delighted to meet cute alpacas who visited the home.
These adorable alpacas were met with gasps, cheers, laughter and, of course, lots of cuddles.
