Wallington Day Care is a day centre in Surrey where you can meet new friends and do activities you enjoy with help and support from dedicated and experienced care staff. The staffs are trained in supporting older people with a range of age related conditions, including short-term memory loss and dementia.
Our friendly staff at the Day Care in Wallington centre can help you with any issues or concerns you have.
Day care is off the Stanley park road B271 and just 0.4 miles away from Wallington railway station.
We work closely with the community to ensure you are supported to stay connected to your surroundings and are able to enjoy everyday life in your local area.
We have a friendly and trained staff so that you and your family can rest assured knowing that the care and support you receive is built around your individual needs and preferences.
When you are with us you can enjoy a light breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea – all prepared by our on-site chefs, who ensure a balanced and nutritious diet is maintained.
We are open Monday-Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. You can choose to come along for a couple of hours up to a full day or several days a week.
What can you expect?
Everyone who attends our services are welcomed to take part in the daily activities built around individual preferences .These can range from helping out in the garden, planning outings, baking treats for everyone to enjoy to simply quietly reading of a book of your choice.
You have the option how you will spend the day with us, with a wide range of activities available, which our team can plan around your hobbies and interest.
Our typical activities include:
- Gardening
- Gentle exercise
- Quizzes and sing-alongs
- Arts and crafts
- Reminiscence activities.
Our facilities include
- An interactive kitchen with a range of appliances, just like home which can be used if you wish to
- A bright and airy open plan lounge and dining area, perfect for relaxing, reading a book or enjoying group activities.
- Large patio and lawn area with garden furniture and raised garden beds
- A daily home-cooked two-course lunch.
We work closely with the community to ensure you are supported to stay connected to your surroundings and are able to enjoy everyday life.
Whilst you are with us you can enjoy a light breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea – where we ensure a balanced and nutritious diet is maintained.
