Why choose us for dementia care?

Our team of dedicated professionals delivers person-centred care, ensuring that every resident’s unique needs and preferences are met. We specialise in care planning designed to support those living with dementia, creating a personalised approach to care that promotes well-being and independence. Our services include:

  • Cognitive and sensory activities: Our residents enjoy cognitive stimulation and sensory experiences that are specifically designed for those living with dementia. We provide therapeutic activities like gentle massages, hand care, and calming music in a tranquil setting, fostering relaxation and comfort.
  • Engaging activities for all: From themed events and creative activities to reminiscence therapy, music, and group sessions, we offer a wide range of engaging opportunities for our residents. We also encourage participation in daily tasks, such as gardening and assisting with household chores, helping residents maintain a sense of purpose and independence.
  • Nutritional care and hydration: We understand the importance of proper nutrition and hydration for individuals with dementia. For residents who prefer not to have structured meals, we offer grazing plates throughout the home. Water and juice are also easily accessible, ensuring hydration is maintained throughout the day.

Understanding the cost of dementia care

The cost of dementia care varies depending on individual care needs and services provided. Our care home collaborates with local councils to explore potential funding options, ensuring families can access the support they need. We recommend reaching out to your local council to discuss available funding options before contacting us.

Jo Bennett, General Manager

“I started my career working in the Motor Trade arena, in B2B (Business to Business) Customer Sales. My motivation to change careers and focus on care came from my loving Grandparents. My Nan lived with us for many years and was always there when I needed her. As Nan got older, as a family, we had first-hand experience of palliative care, which inspired me to pursue a healthcare career, so I too could ensure quality care for others.

I have now worked in the care industry for 16 years in a variety of roles across the sector.  Most recently, I worked in regional operations for a number of large nursing homes.

My passion has always been to create a welcoming and inclusive community where people truly feel a sense of home. This belief directs me every day, and I am so proud to lead a team that holds our residents’ health, well-being and happiness at the heart of all we do.”
