Why choose us for dementia care?

Our experienced team delivers person-centred care, ensuring that the unique needs of each resident are met. We specialise in care planning, focusing on creating a fulfilling daily routine for our residents. Our comprehensive range of care services includes:

  • Cognitive and therapeutic activities: We offer a variety of cognitive stimulation and sensory experiences tailored for those living with dementia. Therapeutic activities, such as gentle massages and hand care, take place in a soothing environment to promote calm and relaxation.
  • Engaging and varied activities: From group events and hands-on sessions like cooking and arts and crafts, to reminiscence therapy, music appreciation, and poetry reading, our care home provides a wide range of activities. We encourage participation in daily tasks such as gardening or helping around the home, fostering independence and engagement.
  • Nutritional and hydration support: We understand the importance of balanced nutrition for our residents. For those who prefer a more flexible dining experience, we offer grazing plates with assorted snacks available throughout the day. We also ensure hydration by placing water and juice at key locations around the home.

Understanding the cost of dementia care

The cost of dementia care varies depending on individual care needs and services provided. Our care home collaborates with local councils to explore potential funding options, ensuring families can access the support they need. We recommend reaching out to your local council to discuss available funding options before contacting us.

Emma Lawrance, Manager

“We make sure people have as much freedom, independence and choice as possible.

Our residents are encouraged to get involved and make the most of the social opportunities that are on offer. We employ activity co-ordinators who organise a stimulating timetable of activities. For example, we recently enjoyed putting on an Easter Eggstravaganza, which attracted nearly 500 visitors who joined our residents for pottery sessions, Easter crafts, Go Karts, home cooked food and more. Everyone from the home and the community enjoyed a fantastic day!

Our team of staff are carefully selected to ensure they offer the best quality of care to our residents. We consider our home a happy place to work and can boast employees who have worked with us for over 20 years, ensuring continuous and familiar support for our residents.”
